Meet the Founding Members

Kyle Wong, Ph.D. and CFA, started his finance career in the securities business. He has taken sales and management positions in various securities firms like Merrill Lynch, HSBC Securities and RBC Group. He returned to Hong Kong in 2004 and joined DBS as VP in Hybrid Products. In 2006 he joined Kaplan Financial as Director of Financial Markets teaching CFA and FRM courses. In the last few years he has added Fintech elements to the courses offered by Kaplan.

From 2010 to 2016 he was the Chief Operating Officer of a hedge fund company in Hong Kong. He is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Artificial Intelligence Hong Kong Limited, which is dedicated to promote the application of AI in the financial industry. AIHK has built a community of more than 160 machine learning experts in Asia.

From 2017 to 2018, Kyle Wong was the Chief Operating Officer of the Blockchain Association of Hong Kong, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of blockchain technology in Hong Kong and to encourage its adoption in the financial market. The Association is one of the largest Blockchain organisations in Hong Kong.  He is also the advisor to several blockchain projects, including Distributed Machine Learning, which applies machine learning models to mobile devices while protecting users’ privacy using blockchain technology. DML successfully completed a token event in April 2018. 

Kyle Wong received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics from Cornell University. He received his B.S. degree in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a trained Corda developer. Corda is a distributed ledger platform specially designed for the financial sector.

Amanda Lim, Ph.D., is a Founder and Vice President of the Association of

Blockchain Development, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the deployment of blockchain technology in various industries including legal, auditing, and finance. She is a founder and a Director of ACH Worldwide. She has driven the success of many private equity projects related to AI, blockchains, Chips, eCommerce, Fintech, Healthcare, and Internet-of-Things.

Being passionate about innovation and technology; Amanda is a digital economy

researcher, lecturer, and columnist. She has supervised projects related to

blockchain startups. She has conducted lectures and published articles related to

AI, blockchain, crypto, cybersecurity, viral marketing, and the booming digital

economy.

Florence Ip (CFA, CAIA) is a Product Director of ACH-Worldwide, generating product developement ideas for digital marketing companies, Fintech companies as well as ICO projects for blockchain innovation.

She has solid experience working in a top global fintech company, Bloomberg L.P. as a Product specialist. She devoted to build transactional platforms for the Money market/FX communities for the globe. Furthermore, she also worked in leading international banks as a Capital market trader and managed assets over billions of dollars. 

She graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science then earned her MBA at The University of Manchester in U.K.. She also obtained her Artificial Intelligence certificate and Blockchain Technologies certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management in U.S..

Tim C.O. Koo is the founder and director of Normsun & Co. Beforehand, Tim has worked in one of the Big Four international audit firm for nearly ten years with profound audit and assurance experiences for various locally-listed companies and multinational groups from a wide range of industries. Besides, he possesses extensive experiences in internal control reviews for multinational clients located in different cities, including Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Beijing, Japan, Korea, Singapore and the Philippines. Recently, he is also active in providing consultancy services for US based subsidiaries in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific on meeting the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.

At present, Tim possesses numerous professional qualifications and memberships - he is a practicing Fellow at The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FCPA), Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) (FCCA) and Associate of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (FTIHK). Tim is also Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA), The Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (MSCA), Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and a Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance from The University of Hong Kong.

Julianne is a partner at the international law firm Dentons. A graduate from the University of Hong Kong (LLB) and Cambridge University (LLM), she is a corporate/capital markets lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in structuring strategic acquisition and investment transactions, including cross-border M&A and private equity, capital markets fund-raising, compliance and regulatory advice, corporate, commercial and financial/securities matters. Julianne is experienced in inbound and outbound China investment in the financial, real estate, retail, technology and other sectors, offering valuable insights to corporates on challenges and risk management methdologies.

Tony has 20+ years of experience in FinTech product trading and investment banking. He has led and constructed a number of multinational banks in the structural capital market trading business in Asia. These multinational banks include Japan's Nomura Securities, Commerzbank, Calyon of France, Dalwa Securities of Japan and Fortis Bank of Belgium. Prior to this, in London, he was responsible for the development of structured financial derivatives and trading business and the development of securitization business for a number of multinational banks. 

Tony has many years of venture investment experience, and he has created a number of investment companies focusing on investing entertainment, advertising and gambling technology in Asia. 

Tony exited the structured capital market trading business in 2008 to focus on his own investment business, serving as executive directors. in a number of companies he owns.

Before joining FinTech development business in London, Tony was a missile weapons scientist of the British Ministry of Defense. He graduated from Imperial College of Science and Technology in the UK, holding a bachelor's degree in aircraft engineering and a master's degree in computer airflow.

Having seen the large potential of the ASEAN markets, he has been involved in various real estate and infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2012. He has also been conducting trade in Agarwood and other agricultural goods and has recently expanded his business to corporate promotion, helping manufacturers and sole distributors to develop their products and services within the local market.

Currently sits as Chairman of Smart City Consortium Co. Ltd in Cambodia and link up between Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia and Smart City Consortium Co. Ltd in Hong Kong.Give customers a reason to do business with you.

Mr. Fay Lam, bachelor in accounting and finance at the University of Hong Kong, cofounder and CEO of SmartUp incubator platform on blockchain. He worked as an auditor for KPMG in Hong Kong and started entrepreneurship since 2011. He founded and ran 2 companies, a hardware and software system integrator and a software development house.
